Jacob, a 10-year old Jewish boy from New York, moves to the West Bank town of Hebron with his parents as settlers. To his parents' dismay, Jacob's new best friends are Palestinian, and he comes of age under the occupation until he turns 18, refusing to enlist into the Israeli Defense Forces and is imprisoned.
