Taj is a filmmaker from New England obsessed with telling darkly comic stories about big city secrets and small town crime. He has lived in Singapore, Alaska, Kuwait, and Hanoi, and he brings this multicultural perspective to his film work. Taj received his MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where he was personally mentored by film masters Oliver Stone and Todd Solondz. In 2017, Taj’s feature screenplay "Experience" won the NYU Purple List, which recognizes the top production-ready scripts written by NYU alumni. In 2018, "Experience" won the Gold Prize for Drama in the Page International Screenwriting Awards. An accomplished director as well as screenwriter, Taj’s short film “Ash” premiered at the Telluride Film Festival and subsequently screened at over a dozen international festivals.
