My name is Stacie Shellner. I'm a woman. I'm forty-two years old. And I have a B.A. degree in Theater Arts with an emphasis in acting. After I graduated college, I wasn't sure I wanted to be an actor anymore, so I entered the workforce in a very non-artistic office job. However, I still had an ache inside to be creative, so I began writing plays. Playwriting eventually morphed into screenwriting, and in the last ten years, I've written around eight feature scripts - many of which have garnered placement in numerous contests (including my script "Release," which is a current 2019 Academy Nicholl Fellowship Quarterfinalist). I feel like I'm at the point in my writing where I'm ready to take it to the next level, and a live read would definitely help me get there.
