About
The Nashville Film Festival is excited to announce the 2022 Pitch Competition. Do you have a great idea for the next hit Netflix show or blockbuster movie? We’d love to hear them. A writer from our 2018 Pitch Fest got their pilot set up with a major production company and will be filming soon.
Submit your logline of 30 words or less for the opportunity to pitch in either the feature or episodic category. Every entry will get feedback on their logline. The top twenty-five loglines in each category will be selected to pitch their idea virtually to select industry professionals who will select ten finalists from each category to pitch live at the 2022 Nashville Film Festival Pitch Event.
Writers pitching at all levels will receive feedback on their pitch. At the live event, the pitches will be narrowed to the three top pitches for each category and each writer will have the opportunity to make recommended adjustments to their pitch for the final round where the top pitch in each category will be selected.

The top 3 pitches in each category will receive an entry fee wavier for the 2023 Nashville Film Festival screenplay competition.
Winning pitch from each category will receive two all access badges to the 2022 Nashville Film Festival
Winning pitch from each category will receive a one-on-one coaching session from industry professional post-festival.

Rules
All pitches must be for original work. No loglines for existing property other than what is in the public domain will be accepted. Loglines should be 30 words or less. Pitches should be two minutes or under. Any pitches that run over the time will be stopped at the expiration of two minutes.
On July 29, 25 semi-finalists will be chosen to move to the next round and pitch their idea to a panel of judges virtually. After this deliberation, 10 finalists will be chosen to participate in the Pitch event on October 1 at the Nashville Film Festival.
