Additional Project Info

Earthbound Misfit was made as a reflection of moving to Los Angeles to find something better than our own hometowns. Taking our own experiences and adding a sci-fi spin, it was important to us to tell a story about growing up and the hardships it entails. The history of the world is filled with turbulent times. Our generation and the generations past have been able to see America shift and change in ways we never would have imagined. For this reason, themes of political instability and governmental oversight are woven in. Offsetting the difficult conversations of our time, we mixed in the sonic enjoyment of an Edgar Wright or James Gunn project as well as an aesthetically pleasing mixture of an 80’s/90’s anime or graphic novel. With these ingredients, we hope upon (future) viewing that that no matter where society goes, someone out there can seek out the drive and passion required to try to make Earth a better place.
