The story opens as Jim drives to meet his girlfriend Jenna, only to encounter her father, Marvin - a war veteran turned successful entrepreneur. Marvin clearly disapproves of his daughter's taste in men as well as her life choices to this point.  Jenna & Jim are leaving for a tropical vacation, even as Marvin expresses his desire for Jenna to take life more seriously, as she will soon inherit the family empire.   The trip quickly turns into a nightmare as Jenna is abducted and held captive by an unknown assailant. Throughout the harrowing ordeal of being rescued, captured again, held by police, and eventually escaping, her fortitude compounded by betrayal and grit, is the ultimate preparation for what comes next.
