Additional Project Info

This limited 30-min, (PG) series will play out into the B Story Line where the ghost of the Yoruban slave, named Obatala is revealed and his spirit will find a way to invade neighborhoods or situations where racial divisions exist and where he will “stir things up” in similar surprising, physically comedic situations as in pilot. He will attempt to take vengeance on people that repress and show hatred towards his race by possessing roosters and\or people to enforce his will. In the final two episodes of series, the C Story Line will be revealed that the Yoruban Slave draws his power from Nigerian King Oduduwa who was a divine entity and mythical founder of the Yoruba religion which is the basis for Afro-Cuban religions in the Caribbean. Ex’s: Voodoo in Haiti and Santeria in Brazil and Cuba. Oduduwa is considered a powerful creator deity to this day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oduduwa *This script won Screenplay of the Year award at The New Media Film Festival in Los Angeles *I have a 9 page pitch deck with images to express the tone of the series that I can share if interested.
