Additional Project Info

Coal Dust Dreams is Where the Crawdads Sing meets The Bodyguard. The story is inspired by true events from the worst clan feud in Kentucky's history, the Baker-Howard feud which surpassed even the infamous Hatfield and McCoy vendetta. The feud lasted for over 40 years with hundreds of lives lost. Coal Dust Dreams is a contemporary twist on a Baker descendant whose past catches up with him and now he must find a way to leave it all behind or get dragged into a vigilante clan feud. Coal Dust Dreams navigates the complexities of finding love in the crossfires of life's struggles, standing up to the boys of the backwoods, and turning setbacks into comebacks in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. The script won Best Feature at the 2024 Venice Int'l Film Festival.
