Additional Project Info
I wrote this screenplay and its sequels with two goals: To serve as an allegory for this country’s treatment of veterans post-wartime (Universal Systems Alliance forms a very deliberate acronym), and to pay tribute to the great sci-fi action films and cyberpunk anime of the 80’s and 90’s. Much like how Tarantino and Rodriguez brought GRINDHOUSE to life out of their love of 70’s exploitation, the ideal version of this film would be best realized with matte paintings, miniatures, stop-motion photography and squibs... lots of squibs. A badass synth score wouldn’t hurt either.
