Semifinalist in the ISA Emerging Screenwriters Family & Holiday Competition. Letter of support from Executive Producer, Paul Guyot: I’m writing this in support of Rachel Handler and her project, HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS. As an Executive Producer on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS in 2018, I had the privilege and distinct pleasure of working with Rachel on an episode I wrote. I found Rachel to be not only an accomplished and nuanced actor, but also an incredibly creative collaborator. I believe her screenplay HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS showcases all of Rachel’s strengths – her creativity, her comprehension of character and story, and her very personal understanding of how disabilities affect not only the person, but the people around them as well. Rachel has crafted a beautiful story worthy of any television network. Everyone can relate to these characters, while at the same time the story reveals a part of our society no one is shining a light on. This is an important piece of work, and the fact Rachel has told it in a funny, heartbreaking, and ultimately triumphant way, demonstrates this is an artist whose work can make us all better. Thank you for your time, Paul Guyot
