About

The Women's List is a project designed to discover excellent, camera-ready feature and TV pilot scripts that might otherwise lnguish unseen in a slush pile. The Women's List  is a non-profit organization created by a volunteer group of WGA writers, DGA directors,  SAG actors and other industry professionals whose goal is to make The Women's List the go-to resource for over-looked women writers and for the filmmakers looking to discover their stories.  The scripts on our list are not only written by women but vetted by women professionals. They are stories we want to see, stories we think the world will want to see.

Benefits

The great prize is being chosen by your peers to be on the list. Once chosen, our team of volunteers will send personal emails to producers, directors, actors, agents and managers inviting them to read. We'll also make countless social media posts promoting the scripts. We hope our efforts will eventually result in these scripts being produced, and getting a read is a vital step in that process.

Rules

The Women's List is open to all writers who identify as women. Please submit just one script per writer or writing team. Choose your best! Feature scripts must be 120 pages or less, one-hour pilot scripts must be 65 pages or less, and half-hour pilots must be 45 pages or less.  Blind submissions only. The name of the script should be the only thing on the title page. Do not put any identifying information anywhere on the script. No names, agent contacts, registration information, logos for previous awards, or anything else that could tell readers who you are and, potentially, influence their opinion.
