The chosen recipients will receive ongoing professional support and a special trip to Los Angeles for meetings and introductions to key entertainment studio executives, producers, literary managers and agents. To apply, simply submit your feature film script or original television script, along with an optional cover letter that expresses your vision and background as an emerging writer.

Stay in the heart of Hollywood!
Winners will stay at the historic Roosevelt Hotel, which was founded by a consortium of early Hollywood legends including Louis B. Mayer, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks and Sid Grauman. Films shot on location at the hotel include Internal Affairs (starring Richard Gere), Beverly Hills Cop II (starring Eddie Murphy) and Catch Me If You Can (starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks and directed by Steven Spielberg). Television shows shot at the hotel include Knots Landing, Moonlighting and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
ScreenCraft Fellows are accepted into the program to develop the specific feature or TV script with which they apply, but the Fellowship is designed to allow for development of additional projects as well.
Applications will be evaluated based on overall craft, including story, voice, originality, characterization, structure and dialogue. The judging panel, selected by ScreenCraft, will include studio executives and award-winning screenwriters and producers.
In the event that the winner cannot or does not wish to travel, some of the meetings and consultations will be coordinated via phone and/or Skype. The trip will be in the Fall of 2020, accommodating the selected winners’ schedules.
