Our 1-Hour TV Pilot Grand Prize Winner will meet with Mike Vanderhei | Rain Management Group.

Mike Vanderhei is a literary manager/producer from Chicago. Mike’s clients have written on many popular series including THE BLACKLIST, CHARMED, DOCTOR DEATH, LOVECRAFT COUNTRY, THE NEVERS, HAPPY!, ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, MARCO POLO, AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., and WESTWORLD to name a few.

Peter Katz is a manager and producer, and CEO of the management/production company Story-Driven, where he supports the vision of writers and directors for film, TV, and emerging mediums. Known for the award-winning POP SKULL, Peter likes to focus on serious genre stories.

Our ½-Hour TV Pilot Grand Prize Winner will meet with James Cristiano | Seven Summits Films.

James represents a variety of comedic writers and actors who work on shows such as THE DAILY SHOW on Comedy Central, PATRIOT ACT on Netflix, ADAM RUINS EVERYTHING on truTV, TRL on MTV, BIGGER on BET, and BROCKMIRE on IFC.

Following each contest, we begin the process of sending this year’s scripts to our Industry Roster. You don’t need to be one of our winners to have your script sent out. We will always consult with you before we send out your work.

Rules

To help the environment, Shore Scripts only accepts electronic entries.

Web Series should be submitted to the ½-Hour TV Pilot Contest category.

½-Hour Pilots should be within 5-30 Pages. 

1-Hour Pilot should be within 40-70 Pages

Writers from all countries are welcome to enter the Shore Scripts. All scripts must be in English.

The script must be the writer's original work. They must own all copyright. At no point will Shore Scripts ever have any rights over your work.

All ages are welcome.

Each writer, or writing team, may not have earned more than $50,000 in screenwriting fees in the preceding 18 months. This clause is in place to help us support emerging talent. (Contest & Fellowship awards do not count toward this total).

You may enter a newer draft of an already submitted script. There will be a small fee involved. You may re-enter your script through our Resubmission page or via our industry partner’s platforms.

If a script is optioned or purchased during the competition, then that script will no longer be eligible for the awards. The entry fee will not be refunded.

Scripts should be formatted at size 12 Courier.

Scripts must be submitted in PDF format.

Please ensure your Feature script is as close to the standard 80-120 pages as possible. See below in regard to the TV Pilot Competition. If you have any questions about the length of your script, please email us. contact @ shorescripts.com

We accept all genres.

The winners agree to allow Shore Scripts to use their name and script title on the website. This will be used to inform other contestants and the media of the results.

The decision of Shore Scripts is final. By applying to this contest each participant agrees to hold Shore Scripts, our judges and sponsors immune from any competition disputes, claims, liabilities, and expenses.

If we see fit, we can extend the final deadline for the competition.

By entering Shore Scripts Screenwriting Competition, you authorize us to use any trusted third-party online and cloud-based services and databases for hosting, managing, and/or transmitting your submission file(s).
