About

Our global Writing Program is one of the best in the biz. We offer aspiring TV writers, with unique voices and from underrepresented communities, the opportunity to hone their skills and launch their careers as writers on Nickelodeon’s scripted live-action and animated productions. While in the Program, writers workshop their comedy chops, meet our series creators, work in writers’ rooms, and receive hands-on experience writing scripts and pitching story ideas, all while being paid a salary.

There are three tracks to choose from:

General Track – If you live in the US and want to focus on kids’ and family comedy.

International Track – If you live outside the US (see www.nickwriting.com for visa requirements).

Preschool Track – If you live in the US and want to focus on writing for the preschool demographic. You bring the smart, funny, engaging stories and characters, and we’ll help you bring the preschool.

Note! This program's application requires both an original comedy pilot and a spec pilot from Nickelodeon's Accepted Show List. We highly recommend reading the steps and materials needed for submitting here.

Benefits

Launch your screenwriting career straight from the Nickelodeon studio in Burbank. You'll participate in exclusive workshops, sharpen your skills with hands-on mentorship, build a professional network, and experience our writers' rooms first hand, all while getting paid to live the dream.
