Do you have a great comedy script that will make executives
and audiences laugh out loud?
We’re seeking comedy Features and TV Pilots of all types. Family humor, rom-coms, frat house throwbacks, subversive dark comedies, and all others are invited to enter. If you think it’s funny, we want to read it.
A great comedy screenplay is one of the most highly sought-after pieces in the industry. When a writer is able to develop their characters and advance their plot all while building their story to a genuine comedic climax, countless doors will open for them.
The Emerging Screenwriters Comedy Competition welcomes all interpretations of the comedy genre, as well as all forms of humor. From series like INSECURE or TED LASSO to features like PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES, BRIDESMAIDS or SHAUN OF THE DEAD, we want to see your best comedic work.
We will share the winners with our list of mentors, partners, and industry connections for option or production consideration. Plus, the Top 10 will be considered for the ISA Development Slate.
